You may have heard all the beauty gurus talk about clay masks. Mask Monday is a very trendy subject all across social media. Skin care fans wear everything from sheet masks, to all kinds of clay masks. 

But what are clay masks and what do they do? 

Clay masks' main component is clay in powder form, that helps remove impurities, minimizes the appearance of pores and helps with the absorption of excess oil. It is perfect for those with oily skin and skin prone to acne or breakouts.  

Without drying your skin, clay masks actually help hydrate and soothe, being perfect for a busy day, a day at the gym, beach or pool. 

How to use facial clay masks?

You can mix it in a little bowl, container or the palm of your hand. Scoop about 1 tbsp of powder with a few drops of water and work it, adding more water if necessary, to create a smooth consistency cream like texture. Apply to your skin and leave for 10-15 minutes. Wash off completely, and pat dry with a towel. You can totally do this while you take a warm bath.
